SEO…How to get good positioning in Google for your blog

This is a step by step guide on how to gain Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for your blog.

The URLS that are listed below are for demonstration only and are not necessarily real websites.

 

• Chose a URL that reflects the content. If the blog is about you use your Name as part of the URL for instance http://deehudson.wordpress.com  or if the content is about a hobby or business use http://art.wordpress.com

• Next make sure that the title has the same name or includes the same name as the URL. for instance

http://deehudson.wordpress.com  Title = Dee Hudson or Dee Hudson ADVICE ON   HOME BUSINESS

• The Title of each post should have the appropriate key words, for instance

• Make sure that the Graphics are linked into the subjects and key words

 

• All the posts should be using key words and those key words should be distributed through the post. All should be in bold text

 

• Each post should have the Key words or Tag words listed at bottom of post.

 

• USE your Name as a Key word

 

• Post to your blog regularly to maintain top positioning in Google

every day for at least the first two weeks

then reduce to every other day for two weeks

then down to twice a week from then on.

 

• Use Feeds to add content from other blogs that are on the same topic or that you feel are relevant to the subject.

 

• Each blog post should be submitted to the search engines, this is done by adding the permanent link to the posts to google submit my site.
